Screening is only useful if someone explains what the results mean. Here is what happens at each stage.

A 45-minute appointment with Dr Tang at our Bamber Bridge clinic, covering your health, lifestyle, medication and family history. Blood tests, blood pressure and an ECG where included are done at the same visit.
Any home test kits are handed to you at the appointment, with instructions and a prepaid return. If your package includes an MRI, we check it is right for you and send the referral; the scan centre then contacts you directly.
Once everything is back, your GP goes through each result with you, in clinic or by video, and explains what is normal, what is borderline and what matters.
You receive a written summary to keep. If anything needs a closer look, we arrange the referral and stay involved until you know where you stand.
Usually two to three weeks from consultation to results review. Blood results come back within a few days; home kits and MRI reports take longer.
At our imaging partner in Preston, with Newton-le-Willows also available. Scans are reported by consultant radiologists. No scans are carried out at our Bamber Bridge clinic.
For most packages, no fasting is needed. If anything is required, we tell you when you book. Bring a list of your medications, and your glasses if you wear them.
Your GP explains it and arranges the next step, whether that is a repeat test, a scan or a specialist referral. You can be referred privately or through the NHS, whichever suits you.
Screening for people without symptoms is not usually covered by insurance. Onward investigation of something found may be, depending on your policy.
Consultation, bloods and ECG are at Bamber Bridge. Home kits are completed at home. MRI, echocardiograms and CT scans are at partner centres.
Screening cannot rule out every condition. If you have symptoms, please seek medical advice rather than waiting for a screening appointment.
